It’s easier for me to post there cuz it’s quicker

Happy 44th Birthday Singapore! This year is a very special year for me because it was the first time i got to watch the preview of the National Day Parade (I watched it on the telly this evening as well and it was exciting too!) I am also proud to say that being a Singaporean makes me special.. i mean, it is probably one of the safest islands EVER.. and i am very proud of how we grew from a fishing village to a cosmopolitan city in less than 50 years! I admit.. sometimes i feel that being stuck in this small island may seem stifling and not as exciting as bigger countries.. but whatever it is, Singapore’s the place where my heart feels closest too.. familiar people, familiar places.. This is home

Anyhoo, we managed to snag an interview session with the lady herself! omgwtfbbq again. Will update when i get back from the session. Still feel weird about the whole thing, but nevermind about that. I always feel weird these days. Work is making me such a sad person. 

On a bright side, it’s 3 days to thursday, 18th June, and i can’t wait! too anxious for it to come!

The scandalous ones are so entertaining but it’s the entry below that will melt your heart all over again.

“ I know a secret about my husband.  He is a grumpy old tough guy.  He works in a garage as a mechanic.  He comes home in his same foul overalls everyday, smelling of oil and cigars.  He never says please or thank you.  He never opens the door for me.  He won’t take the time to be cordial to my friends when they call or come over.

And on the weekends when he goes out hunting with his buddies, or to the track, or to the tavern to watch silly football games, he’ll never call to tell me when he’s coming home.  He is every bit a man’s man.

But about a year ago, his dog (a mutt of course), got into my closet and attacked my childhood Teddy Bear.  Torn off the arms and the buttons and pulled out the stuffing.  I was devastated.  I had that Bear since I was 3 years old.  I ran into the bedroom, crying  myself to sleep.

Hours later when I woke up, my Teddy Bear was sitting there on the pillow next to me.  The stuffing had been replaced.  The arms and buttons neatly sewn back on.  And there was a note in my husband’s sloppy handwriting simply saying, “Sorry.”
